We are so excited!
We are a finalist in the Best Shropshire Food Festival category for the What’s On Reader’s Awards!
We would like to say a big thank you to those who voted for us and we would love it if you could vote for us again in the final too.
It means so much to us that after only one year, we have already been nominated for an award and recognised as one of the best food festivals in Shropshire.
We are honoured to be finalists alongside the superb festivals which have inspired the festival team from day one.
We take great pride in putting together Frestival and this year will be even bigger than our inaugural event.
We have already signed up some top Shropshire chefs for our cookery theatre, including Adam Purnell, known as the Shropshire lad, who recently won the first episode of Channel 4’s new cookery program Crazy Delicious.
Adam, 36, a self taught chef from Telford, aims to create innovative, inspiring dishes, which are accessible to all.
We will also welcome back Lajina Leal, chef and founder of Lajina Masala, who teaches home-style Indian cooking.
A self-taught home cook, Lajina’s meals are made from scratch and she has loads of tips and tricks to make healthy, but tasty, curries.
Joining us for the first time will be Emma Williams, from Madeley’s new Park Street Kitchen, a food delivery service that specialises in bringing you delicious, healthy, home cooked meals using a variety of fresh, quality ingredients.
We also have an exciting line-up of speakers and workshops planned for Frestival, as well as many stallholders and children’s activities. We’ll be revealing all our exciting plans soon!
